This reading is a fictional advert for an apartment for rent for one month in the middle of Berlin, but it’s missing all the article and adjective endings! Students must fill in the endings, and answer a true/false reading comprehension section (available in German or English).
Once completed, students are given the task for homework of writing a reply to the advert explaining why they are the perfect person for the rental and what activities they will undertake while in Berlin for a month.

This 4-page file includes:
~This reading includes a short paragraph explaining telenovela culture in Latin America. This is followed by a humorous scene from a fictitious soap opera titled “El amor mío es infinito” in which an attractive firefighter loses all his luxurious long hair in a fire! This reading includes numerous examples of Spanish Possessive Pronouns (mío, tuyo etc.)
All the characters are introduced by name and character. The script includes parts for four people and is followed by a glossary of new vocabulary. This reading is in the present tense.
~A worksheet with true/false reading comprehension questions and a writing section where students write a continuation of the scene! This can be done for homework or in class, alone or in pairs.

Activity idea: Put students in groups of two or four to read the script. Have students underline all the possessive pronouns in the reading. Once they have read the script, have students translate it. Students may then continue the storyline in different ways by writing their own continuation to the story! These new scripts may be performed for the class or handed in for homework.
